Riposte

Community standards

Riposte is for candid adult debate, not abuse, exploitation, or harm.

Strong opinions are welcome

Riposte is built for adults to disagree openly. Difficult subjects, blunt views, jokes, and occasional swearing are not automatically violations. Frank, non-graphic discussion of mature topics is allowed. Context matters, but disagreement is never an excuse to make another person unsafe or unable to participate. Challenge the argument, not the person's right to be here.

What is not allowed

Recorded conversations

Record only your own contribution. Make sure everyone whose voice or personal information is included knows the recording is happening and has given any consent required where they are. Never upload a private conversation from outside Riposte without permission.

Report and block

Use the in-app controls to report content or an account and to block another user. In-app reports include useful context and are the fastest way to help us investigate. You may also email safety@souvenir-labs.com. If you believe content is illegal, identify the content, explain why, and include your country so we can apply the correct process. Do not forward unlawful or private material by email.

How enforcement works

We consider content, context, severity, repetition, credible risk, and account history. We may warn a user, restrict a feature, remove content, limit discovery or matching, suspend or close an account, preserve relevant evidence, or notify an appropriate authority. Serious or urgent conduct may lead to immediate action without a warning.

Automated systems may help detect abuse and prioritise potentially serious material, but a flag does not by itself establish a violation. We use human review where context or a disputed decision requires it. When appropriate, we will tell the reporter and affected user the outcome and any available appeal.

Appeals

If you believe we made the wrong moderation decision, follow the appeal instructions on our support page. We may decline repeated appeals that do not provide new information or that misuse the process.

Child-safety concerns

Our child-safety standards explain how to report suspected child exploitation and how we respond.
